Viewer tunes in to £230 bill for watching TV without a licence

Alan Dunn, 39, of Benedict’s Close, Innsworth Garth, Bransholme, was fined £80 for using a colour TV without a licence. He must pay £120 costs and a £30 surcharge.

Susan Plaxton, 41, of Riding Fields Square, Beverley, was discharged conditionally for 12 months for being drunk and disorderly in Thompson Avenue, Beverley. She must pay £85 costs and a £20 surcharge.

Mark Sanders, 33, of Champneys Close, Hessle, was fined £166 for producing cannabis. He must pay £85 costs and a £30 surcharge.

Benjamin Thomson, 27, was fined £67 for possessing cannabis. He must pay £85 costs and a £30.

Emma Giddings, 22, of Waveney Road, east Hull, was fined £245 and had six points put on her licence for using a vehicle without insurance. She must pay £85 costs and a £30 surcharge.

Laura Fletcher, 29, of Carr Lane, Willerby, was fined £673, and was banned from driving for 17 months, for drink-driving and using a vehicle without insurance. She must pay £85 costs and a £47 surcharge.

He must pay £85 costs and an £85 surcharge.
