A Beverley schoolboy says he feels like he has to force himself not to go to the toilet at school due to the “disgusting” state of the facilities.
In this video, the 15-year-old Beverley Longcroft School pupil gives a tour of the “disgusting” toilet block in the upper school, which he claims often has empty soap dispensers and is “constantly covered” in urine.
He also said urinals have been taken out and graffiti is strewn across the inside of the building, while washbasins are rusty and it has become the haunt of vaping students.
Painting a picture of the state of the toilets in the school, the student said: “The floor is constantly covered in liquid, usually urine. It’s disgusting and I rarely, with many others who agree with me, use the toilets.
“Graffiti runs amok in the toilets, all of the basins are rusty, only five of the taps work, the dispenser hardly ever has soap in, and they’ve taken the urinals out. To add onto all of this, toilet roll is all over the place, they also have a now broken camera in the facility.
“Oh and to add on, students use ecigs in there all the time, despite it being constantly reported, nobody has dealt with it.”
The teenager is now calling on his school to provide better facilities for students and believes they have a duty to provide cleaner toilets. “When I have to use the toilets, I hold it in to be honest.
