One of Hull’s most popular restaurants has started serving food inside an historic Old Town pub – and there’s some all-time favourites on the menu.
Shoot The Bull, which owns The Old House and Riverhouse Coffee Co in Scale Lane, as well as a street food venue in Trinity Market, has taken over the kitchens at the newly opened The White Hart.
Located in Alfred Gelder Street, The White Hart reopened earlier this year after being taken over by Crafty Little Brewery following years of being left derelict and empty. Now called Crafty Little Kitchen, food is being served from Wednesday to Sunday, from noon to 8.30pm.
The menu includes snacks and basket meals, as well as sides. The snacks menu cost from £1.50 to £4.40, and includes pattie butties, beans on toast, sausage rolls and pork scratchings.
Basket meals all cost £9, and range from buttermilk fried chicken wings to hot dogs, burgers, chicken kievs and vegan and vegetarian options.
Sides include mac and cheese spring rolls, sweet potato fries with aioli, as well as tempura veg & chilli sauce.
The kitchen will also be serving the Canadian dish of poutine, French fries, cheese and gravy, but with additional toppings of chicken, beef or a veggie option.
